ATLANTA (February 9, 2023) – Two long-time partners in Bobby Jones Links have assumed key new roles.
“As our company continues to grow, I am pleased to announce we have promoted two of our long-time team members and company partners, Gautam Patankar and Mike Nolen, to very important new positions,” said Whitney Crouse, CEO and Co-Founding Partner of Bobby Jones Links. “A company is as good as its people, and these are two of the best in the club management business.”
A 17-year veteran of the company, Gautam’s journey into the golf industry started at age thirteen as a caddy. Since graduating from Rutgers University, where he played on the golf team, he has held many key leadership positions at private and daily fee clubs. Now, as Director of Jones University and Chief Experience Officer, he is following his passion for leadership and frontline teams training and creating memorable guest and member experiences.
In his expanded role, Gautam will further develop the company’s service initiatives and training to offer best-in-class guest and member experiences. Bobby Jones Links’ training and culture are modeled after two notable leaders in this area, The Ritz-Carlton and Chick-fil-A, each known for superb service in their own way.
Mike is an industry veteran with decades of experience operating many types of clubs across the United States. A graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso, he spent seven years in military intelligence before turning his passion for details to the club and hospitality industry.
As a Senior Vice-President of Operations for Bobby Jones Links, Mike will oversee many of the company’s clubs, focusing on its elite private club operations. His specialty is food and beverage operations. Mike’s responsibility will also include but is not limited to developing and executing club business plans, attending board meetings, and making Bobby Jones Links’ significant resources, tools, and systems available to the company’s club leaders and associates.
