Gabriel, our head grill chef, has been with us for over three years. Recently, he has also taken on responsibilities for our Farm Dinners. His dedication and passion shine through in every detail of his work!

Fischer has been a part of our Food & Beverage team for around 6 months and has done a tremendous job. He has done many different positions and is always willing to fill in wherever needed. From food running, to locker room, to occasionally serving, we are lucky to have him on our team!

What makes Tony so great is his willingness to help out, whether it be repairing the lighting in the cart barn or fixing a pipe leak on the course. We can't show you enough appreciation for the work you provide. Thank you Tony!

Luke Morrow, PGA Assistant at Mount Vernon Country Club, received the Bobby Jones Grand Slam award for his unrelenting dedication. He took it upon himself to place waters in a golf cart for a potential new member tour on the course.

We are thrilled to award Strickland Parks with a Cloverleaf award. Always willing to do whatever it takes to help the team and deliver exceptional service to our members, Strickland is growing into a leader on and off the court. Under his own initiative, Strickland has created new clinics and pioneered new instructional experiences for our members such as GoPro video analysis sessions, as well as taken ownership over facility maintenance and upkeep. Strickland is the ideal team player, personable, and dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to our members.

Carlet has been with the club for 5+ years. She opens and runs the hot line during lunch, keeping our kitchen consistent and delicious. She is a great teacher, creative chef and amazing person!

Mary has been with the club for a little over 2 years now. She is extremely dependable, a strong server, a team player & our members absolutely love her.

Our longest-tenured shop attendant, Cynthia goes out of her way to make sure that our members and their guests are treated to pristine facilities and warm, welcoming service at the racquet complex. Recently, Cynthia created a daily task list for the entire racquet department under her own initiative, to ensure that our members always have the amenities they need to enjoy their time on court. Cynthia is always willing to do whatever it takes to make our members happy and is a wonderful trainer of our new associates. Well done, Cynthia, we are happy to have you here at HVCC Racquets.

Tim Hightower has taken over our Spray Tech position responsibilities and has done an amazing job. He has taken it upon himself to further his knowledge and skills by enrolling in the UGA certificate program. Congrats on the March Clover Leaf Award at Legacy and Fox Creek.

Clint has been a valuable part of our Greens Department since joining MVCC in 2008, serving as a heavy equipment operator. He is also our Employee of the Month for March 2024. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Clint on his well-deserved promotion to Assistant Greens Superintendent!

Please help us congratulate Deann Sigman from our culinary department for being chosen as the January employee of the month. Deann graduated with a culinary degree from Bradford Culinary Institute. She lives right here in Mount Vernon, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys working out at the local YMCA, watching movies, and spending time with her family.

Back in February when we went to the BJL annual conference Chef Ray worked with the company executive chefs to create a company-wide dish. He took the initiative to collaborate with the social media team to promote this dish, and for that he has received the Grand Slam Award!

Stephenie Pruett has led our kid’s corner kid activities since July. Her dedication and support have truly made a difference in the success of our youth activities. The passion and enthusiasm she has brought to Hope Valley are inspiring, and it’s evident that the children benefit greatly from her involvement.

Zach has been with our team now for close to a year. He has done a wonderful job heading up our junior golf program in addition to providing golf instruction to our members and guests as well. Zach has done a great job meshing with our team and providing the utmost in customer service to assure a quality golf experience for all golfers. We are proud to have Zach on our team!

We would like to congratulate Jeff Israel as our Cloverleaf winner. Jeff consistently demonstrates dependability. Last month he was instrumental in helping us with a large issue with our HVAC unit and took the time to go above and beyond. Thank you, Jeff for your service and for being a part of our team.

Jake Myers has been a great addition to our staff for many reasons, but during the greens closure in January, he went above and beyond. With the golf operation being very quiet that week Jake stepped up to help with projects in the locker room, main clubhouse, and golf course maintenance. Needless to say, these duties were way outside of his regular area of responsibility but he never hesitated to help out and did so with great attention to detail. Thank you, Jake, for all of your efforts that week as well as everything that you do for our members daily.
