Bobby Jones Links has hired Doug Hellman as president of business development. In this new role, Hellman will draw from his more than 30 years of experience in business strategy, thought leadership, business development and operations management to lead Bobby Jones Links' growth and corporate strategy and serve on the executive leadership team.
“Bobby Jones Links’ entrepreneurial spirit, depth of expertise and ability to remain agile in how they approach client relationships — whether third party management, advisory or leases — are key differentiators and what attracted me to joining the team,” Hellman said. “Companies that are nimble and responsive to clients' needs and the ever-changing industry landscape, like Bobby Jones Links, are well-positioned to work with clubs that seek to benefit from innovative outside expertise and want to maintain control of key decisions. The company’s focus on associate training and development rivals that of world-class hospitality brands and is vital in serving today’s members and guests that desire a comprehensive lifestyle experience. I'm excited to be a part of that."
Hellman, whose previous roles include managing director at ClubCorp and longtime senior vice president of business development for KemperSports, will leverage his industry experience with private club, daily-fee and resort properties to strategically grow the company’s advisory consulting, leased and third-party management portfolio.
“Doug is considered a dynamic change agent and respected strategic thought leader in our business,” said Whitney Crouse, a founding partner of Bobby Jones Links. “He is a wonderful addition to our team, and we're looking forward to benefitting from his expertise to help Bobby Jones Links achieve its strategic growth plan.”
