January 12, 2022- Jason Kuiper, Director of Instruction at the Grand Slam Golf Academy at Bobby Jones Golf Course, a Bobby Jones Links managed property, was conferred with the PGA of America’s Game Changer Award.
“The Game Changer Award is given to coaches with the most players participating in the PGA Junior League in the country and their PGA section for the 2022 calendar year,” said David Wert, Player Engagement Consultant for the PGA. “You were ranked as number 10 in the country and number 1 in the state of Georgia!” The PGA will recognize Jason in person and publicly at a program on January 26 at The PGA Show this year.
The golf instruction programs at Bobby Jones Golf Course had a record year in 2022 under Jason’s direction, conducting 4,864 private lessons, junior camps totaling 450 participants, PGA Hope sessions with over 100 veterans served, and special instruction and camps designed for disabled golfers, beginners, women, and minorities. The PGA Superstore fitting center at Bobby Jones Golf Course also completed more than 500 custom fittings at the B.J. and Jack Bandy Instructional Center, equipped with state-of-the-art cameras, TrackMan, and the best fitting software technology.
“I still find it hard to believe myself, but since opening four years ago, more than 3,000 different juniors have participated in our camps, clinics, and instruction offerings,” said Kuiper. “The core value of Bobby Jones Links is to make a difference. It’s terrific to be honored by the PGA for doing just this.”
