Meet Anne Stumbo | Membership Director and Accounting Manager at Cobblestone Park Golf Club

1.     When did you join Bobby Jones Links and why?

"I started at Cobblestone Park in October 2003 when it was still called The University Club."

2.     Where did you grow up? What are some of your favorite memories of being a kid?

"Walterboro, South Carolina. Now, you are making me show my age.  I grew up before electronics.  We played outside.  I enjoyed riding horses, dirt bikes, camping, fishing, and spending time at the beach."

3.     What are your passions in life outside of work?

"My children and grandchildren."

4.     What do you enjoy most about the club business?

"Meeting new people, friendships and our Cobblestone Park family."

5.     Who inspires you in your life and why?

"My deceased father. He was full of life and had such a kind heart."

6.     What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?

"I can’t put that on paper!!!  Herding cows in my Volkswagen."

7.     Family is a big part of your life, especially your grandchildren. Why are they so important to you?  

"They get so excited about things in life that we take for granted: a full moon, a pretty flower, playing in the woods, etc. It’s just so fun to see the world through their eyes. Most importantly, all they want is for you to spend time with them and make them feel special."

8.     What is your favorite movie? Why?

"Steel Magnolias.  It reminds me of Walterboro.  It makes me cry, laugh, and shows the strength and power in surrounding yourself with wonderful friends and family."

9.     If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

"The ability to fly so I could get to work on time!!!"  

10.   What’s still on your bucket list?

"To live at the beach.  Take the Grand kids to Disney when Adley is a little older.  Travel."
