The People of Bobby Jones Links
Meet Lindsey Foschi | Membership Director at Hope Valley Country Club
1. When did you join Bobby Jones Links and why?
I joined the BJL Team in May, 2020 when we brought them on board at Hope Valley.
2. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small town outside of Atlanta, GA until the age of 15. At that time, my family moved out to Ventura County in California. I spent about 5 years in Ventura, and then made my way down to San Diego where I attended college at SDSU.
3. What are your passions outside of work?
I enjoy cooking, swimming, walking and anything that involves my little one.
4. What do you enjoy most about the club business?
I love being part of the onboarding process. Giving those a sense of comfort when joining Hope Valley, and making them feel at home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, and learn about people near and far.
5. Who inspires you in your life and why?
My Dad. I have always a very strong bond with my father, and my earliest memories in life involve him. When I was in my late 20’s, my Dad was diagnosed with throat cancer. I watched him battle for years, suffer chemo and radiation treatments, and never complain. To this day, it’s been 6 years, and he is cancer free.
6. What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?
Don’t judge… When I was 16, I got my first car, literally weeks old. I went to fill it up with gas, and was so confused when the nozzle didn’t fit in the tank. But I filled it up anyways. Shortly thereafter, I was stuck on the side of the road, where my Dad recused me, and spent the next hour siphoning the diesel gas that I had put in. Not thrilling, but crazy.
7. You’ve been with Bobby Jones Links less than a year. What has stood out about your experience with them?
The ongoing support and constant positive feedback. Bobby Jones has a Team of individuals that really care about the success of their associates.
8. What is your favorite movie? Why?
Step Brothers; because the more you watch it, the funnier it gets. Having a bad day? It will completely turn it around.
9. If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
The ability to speak any language.
10. What’s still on your bucket list?
I would LOVE to spend 2 weeks in Italy with my Italian husband, where we eat, drink lots of good wine, and relax!
11. You’re a mom to a 2.5 old boy. What is your favorite thing about being a mom!?
I am absolutely loving this age! I love being able to have conversations, share his imagination, make forts at night before bedtime, and watch movies. He’s super funny, very empathetic and caring, and always wants to make sure his Mommy is okay. Not to mention, he sweeps and mops the floor when asked.
