Meet Tyler Morse | Assistant Golf Professional at Bobby Jones Golf Course  

1.     When did you join Bobby Jones Links and why?  
I joined Bobby Jones Links in October of 2018. The allure of being able to have an opportunity to re-open a golf course was one that I wanted to be a part of and lend a hand helping to do so.  

2.     Where did you grow up? Tell us about it.

I grew up in Marietta, GA. I stayed in Georgia for my school as well, graduating from Kennesaw State University.

3.     What are your passions outside of work?
I am a foodie. I have enjoyed learning to cook all kinds of food and try to learn as much about cooking as possible, as well as an appreciation for different styles and food cultures.

4.     What do you enjoy most about the club business?
The family atmosphere that is generated at each club. This is something that I try to create with every associate at the course. We are a family and we need to treat each other as such and it makes everything run so much smoother having that deep connection with everyone you work with.

5.     Who inspires you in your life and why?
New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees. I am a Saints fan so I may be a little biased, but the way that he carries himself is second to none. He is such an inspiration for everything that he has done for an entire city that was broken after a tragedy. He has and will be my hero and inspiration for a longtime.

6.     What’s the craziest thing you have ever done?

In middle school our chorus group got to sing the national anthem at a Braves game at Turner Field. Even at a younger age that still sticks with me as a crazy, once-in-a lifetime experience.

7.     We heard you’re a wine connoisseur. What is your favorite kind of wine and why?  
Yes, my favorite bottle is Stags Leap petite syrah. It is a wonderful red wine that I try to keep stocked at home as much as possible.

8.     What is your favorite movie? Why?
The original Star Wars. It was such amazing film at the time it was released and seeing how that has stood the test of time is amazing.

9.     If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
Flight. Traffic in Atlanta is something that I would love to avoid at all costs.

10.  What’s still on your bucket list?
Skydiving. This has been something that I have wanted to do for so long. Our Head Golf Professional and a good friend of mine Paul Alcorn recently did it this past year and hearing his experience has made me want to do this even more.
