Three junior golfers from Eastpointe Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a Bobby Jones Links-managed property, have been named to the Florida State Golf Association's prestigious Team Florida, a distinction that recognizes the most accomplished and commendable junior athletes in the state.
Sisters Layla and Marley Predrigue, ages 17 and 14, respectively, were named to Team Florida along with Class of 2025 Jupiter Community High School boy's golf team standout Tristan Wieland.
"With their work ethic, dedication and daily practice habits, it's no surprise Layla and Marley Pedrigue are garnering attention for their excellent play and performances. We see them put in their time in a very methodical and self-motivated fashion most every day at Eastpointe. They're clearly both going places in the game," said Eastpointe Director of Golf Chris Napieralski. "Tristan, too, is a great player who we have had the pleasure of having around the club for years and his commitment to constantly getting better will serve him well as he continues to advance to the next level in the game. The entire Eastpointe staff and membership is extremely proud that these three talented players have been named to Team Florida.
Layla Pedrique secured a top-five finish at the 2023 FJT Pam McCloskey-Brosnihan Open and competed in the 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship before advancing to the Round of 16 at the 2023 Women’s Amateur Championship. She also competed in the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship with partner, Kayla Bryant and charted a third-place finish at the FJT Golf Road Junior Open. She took home the Florida Junior Tour (FJT) Stone Creek and the FJT Santa Lucia in 2022 and finished inside the top-10 at the 2022 FJT Tour Championship.
Her sister Marley, also a highly decorated junior competitor, was the youngest player in the field at the 2023 94th Florida Women's Amateur, and advanced to match play. She took second place at the 2023 FJT Golf Road Junior Open and competed in the 2023 Junior Florida Cup and helped the South Team on to victory. Marley Pedrigue has nine total Florida Junior Tour wins over the past four years.
In 2023, Wieland posted a third-place finish at the FJT Pam McCloskey-Brosnihan Open and qualified for the 106th Amateur Championship. He also qualified for and competed in the 77th Florida Open Championship

"It's going to be incredibly fun watching these players achieve great things on the golf course," Napieralski adds.
