Recently named one of Golf Digest’s best renovations, this course has risen from the ashes of economic challenges that shuttered it for several years. The 1971 Ellis Maples/Ed Seay design underwent a meticulous revival led by Donald Ross specialist Kris Spence, blending modern enhancements with its classic layout. Reopened in 2023, the course now boasts expanded fairways, improved infrastructure, and a reimagined 18th hole. Nestled among lakes and wetlands, the Maples Course offers a fresh yet timeless experience for golfers in the Sandhills.
